This interactive course delivers an introduction to the DSEAR & ATEX Regulations (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations 2002) and provides a foundation level understanding of the phenomenon of explosions, what effects and consequences can be expected, how to become DSEAR compliant and how to protect personnel and equipment.
The course is aimed at all employees who work with, or have in the workplace, any dangerous substances that could, if not properly controlled, cause harm to people as a result of a fire or explosion.
It has also been developed to help satisfy the legal requirements to allow employers to comply with regulation 9, by providing employees with suitable and sufficient information, instruction and training on the appropriate precautions and actions to be taken by the employee in order to safeguard himself and other employees at the workplace.

Any person working within an area defined by DSEAR & ATEX Regulations, that is, where a dangerous substance is used or present within the workplace.
