Child Neglect and its Causes

(Child-Neglect-and-its-Causes)

The neglect of children and young people by their primary caregivers is a significant issue that has a damaging effect on the development of affected children in both the short and long term.

It affects all aspects of emotional, physical, cognitive and behavioural development, and children may be affected by neglect at any point in their life, from early years to adolescence.
